I've taken a few notes while watching (came in late):
1. The media totally missed the illegal lists that were generated ahead of the 2000 vote. He saw an email that directed a 70% error rate in excluding voters from voting if their name was similar to a convicted felon. People who'd been voting for 20 years were pulled out of lines and thrown out of the polling places under threat of arrest.
2. Current partisan efforts to tip the scales, as they're doing in N. Carolina are illegal and unAmerican.
3. There is no statute of limitations on the violation of voter rights so he will be writing and speaking about it to try to bring justice where rights have been and continue to be violated.
4. Current rules are deliberately disadvantageous to certain populations, such as University students being unable to vote when elections are scheduled for the weekend they come back to school.
5. The Chamber of Commerce has opposed a national voting holiday day in November because there are already so many holidays at that time of year.
6. He brought early voting to Florida and is seeing great enthusiasm for early voting
7. His book willl be about 2000. The illegalities that happened were basically not seen because it all appeared behind the scenes.
