since it's one of those things you give kids for Xmas when you can't stand their parents. Crumbs of it go everywhere.

Either that or it's a delivery truck that got stranded on the way to a toy store and somebody said "hey, we can offload this one, too!"

Of course Drumpf probably thought all those homelss poor folks could eat it. Or it was in a package of useful stuff plus a couple of things to amuse kids and it was something they thought he could lift.

But yeah, its a bizarre photo op for a disaster zone.

It was on a truck for donations. Donald spent about 30 seconds unloading the truck, and it appears as if it was mostly toys, at least in that section of the truck.

i don't have a problem with the playdoh, but its a bit misleading to spend 30 seconds unloading a truck just for a photo op, then leave, that should be the bigger story.

Their whole business model rests on selling toys and games to the average family, which means that families have to have a) the disposable income to buy their products and b) the leisure time to enjoy them. Republicans are sworn to ensure that both are ever in short supply.

for giving Play-doh.

People evacuated from their homes with NOTHING. One thing they desperately need is stuff for kids to play with.

I dunno, maybe there really was no good reason, but when a probable perfectly good reason is so obvious, I just wonder why anyone would make a thing of it. There's plenty of substantive stuff to attack Trump with, why try to use something that is so easily countered?

And by the way, most people who aren't keen on Democrats ARE running with the bullshit about Obama not going to LA sooner, never mind what the Governor requested. And posts like this are just reminders that Trump did go. (Of course Trump's visit was ALL about making Trump look good, but the idiots who would consider voting for him don't see it that way.)

His visit was scheduled, which allowed looters, who knew local police would be distracted by protecting Trump, to hit homes and businesses, while Teflon Don, was in the area. He probably intends to take advantage of flood victims in the same way he defrauded and robbed people with Trump University.

Why the PlayDoh was on the truck isn't the issue. It is bizarre that neither he nor his staff recognized that this was a stupid waste of a photo op.

While the adults are talking to disaster relief folks, lining up food, clothing and shelter for their families, the kids don't disappear. There are groups that provide disaster child care with certified persons who not only provide child care, but are also trained to assist the little ones in dealing with the shattering experience. Molding something out of Play-Doh can help a kid come to terms with what has happened.

But I'm not sure why Trump and Pence need to get in the middle of all this, except for the photo op. I guess it's better than Paul Ryan washing clean dishes.

While I'd never discourage taking pokes at Con Man Don, I think there actually is a reason PlayDoh was among the emergency supplies:

Displaced families certainly need more standard supplies (food, water, clothing, etc.), but there can be a lot of waiting around in places that aren't familiar territory, and there's a definite use for things to keep the kids occupied and not getting bored and finding something (potentially hazardous) to do on their own.

After the food, ice, and clothing trucks show up, you'll usually see some toys come in for that very issue.

Trump was late to the party and he was still getting in the way of everybody who was doing REAL relief work.

Donald Trump was criticized for donating Play-Doh to flood victims in need of food and water, but that wasn't the only item among his donations.

Play-Doh, diapers, baby formula, various toys, cleaning supplies and socks can be seen in the above-displayed video. A CNN report also noted that Trump had donated blankets and school supplies.
