Regardless, I say suit her up and drop her in front of ISIS. (Sorry, early morning humor.)

So then I'm right about being wrong.

... after he backed out of his driveway and slammed into the neighbor's light post across the street. After that collision, he gunned it forward and slammed into the wall separating his garage from the living room. My brother witnessed the whole thing.

We saw the signs of his dementia and should have done it sooner. We're just lucky that he never hit anyone.

Hit my bed- which I was in at the time- and knocked it into the middle of the room, and then put the car in gear and drove away. I guess I should be glad he drove a little subcompact rollerskate of a car.

I was enormously pregnant, went into what turned out to be false labor, and then had to come home after the hospital was done with me and tape plastic sheeting on the hole in my apartment because the apartment management was nowhere to be found and it was starting to rain.

My neighbor came home later with big paint scrapes that matched the stucco on our building all over his car and tried to pretend that nothing happened! Of course he was such a blackout drunk he honestly might not have had any idea. I don't know what if anything the police did with him but the apartment management did not evict him!

... was normal later!

There was an alcoholic at one of my workplaces who I'd see buying a case of beer every morning at a nearby gas station if I stopped there after work. (We both worked night shift.) He eventually hit and killed a bicyclist with his pick-up truck during a day off work and he didn't realize it at the time! After sleeping off his inebriation, he saw news reports of the hit-and-run death on the local news. He realized that the hit-and-run happened on his likely route home and then noticed a large dent, paint scrapes, etc. on the front of his truck. At least he had enough decency to call the police and report it! Investigators analyzed the clues and determined that he indeed struck the bicyclist.

Since he turned himself in, his sentence wasn't very severe! He was out of jail in less than two years if I remember correctly! It blew my mind considering some of the much longer sentences for people who didn't actually kill someone!

didn't actually have the kid for a few more weeks. My midwife blamed the stress.

The kid's fifteen now.

Alcohol causes so many problems. Your neighbor sounded like a major a-hole if he wouldn't even admit that he caused the damage, given the evidence.
