Flood & Fire Victims Should Understand The Value Of Government.

If any thing the victims of these flood, fire and other disasters should understand the value of government. I hope it will change anti government sentiments. The federal, state and local governments are essential to their recovery. Without it they would most certainly never fully recover.

And that is the irony. Some of the most anti government and government employee constituencies have been effected the most. And in some cases government is responsible for their survival. Sure many people helped each other. But that action alone cannot overcome huge devastation.

And it is so puzzling that some of these same victims will still vote for GOP politicians who voice anti government sentiment.

But they don't. Two right wing knuckleheads in my area gladly accepted FEMA aid when Hurricane Sandy hit Jersey....of course they would never take welfare.
