Democrats are running as unabashed progressives to keep the White House and retake the Senate. But when it comes to expanding their thin ranks of governors, theyre touting something else entirely: support for gun rights, fiscal conservatism, homespun rural values even suing the Obama administration and criticizing Hillary Clinton.
I cannot be a supporter of Hillary Clinton, said Jim Justice, the coal billionaire-turned Democratic candidate for governor of West Virginia, in a radio interview Monday morning. Justices reasoning comes straight from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnells Republican songbook: The reason I cant be is her position on coal is diametrically, completely wrong in many, many different ways.
Just one Democratic Senate hopeful is making a notably conservative pitch this year: Evan Bayh, Greggs ticket-mate in Indiana, who is touting his work on welfare reform and specifically branding himself as a fiscal conservative.

This article was kind of infuriating read. I'm sorry, but if you're going to brag about your support for gun rights fiscal conservatism and brag about suing our president and attacking our presidential candidate then you don't belong in the Democratic Party.
The party is moving to the left and these conservatives need to, at the VERY LEAST, stay out of the way.

OP
I will remain Left and Pro 2A, even if Gabby Gifford's gun control group backs GOPers.

Gun control might be a big issue to elite MSM, but it's down on the list of most Democrats, if it is there at all.

Just because being pro 2A is a traditionally conservative thing? It's just as bad as the thinking that you can't be a conservative if you're for pro choice.
