Looking Like Openly Supporting Hillary Could Get Dangerous.

Based on the incendiary rhetoric from Trump and the mental disposition of his supporters openly supporting Hillary will make you a target for intimidation and hatred. And I wonder if you could depend on law enforcement because they could be indifferent.

We are entering unexplored territory with this election. Emotions will be running so hight by election day anything is possible. Trump, his supporters and the right wing hate machine show signs of escalating to new level. If the trends show that they are on the road to losing late in this election cycle they may really go nuts.

Based on some posts on this signs will Democrats, Hillary supporters et al need helmet and flak jackets. I may be over reacting but I hope I am not. I just am concerned about the atmosphere and reports coming out of Trump rallies.

The post from the couple who were targeted by someone is really most disturbing. The fact that their dog was poisoned and their car was destroyed is really very concerning. The fact that the post commented that there was no active investigation by police made me wonder. Two serious crimes were committed and odds are it was the same person and was political.

With Trump talking about 2nd amendment solutions and claiming rigged elections puts a target on Democratic voters. Plus calling on supporters to show up at the polls to observe is out of bounds and inviting trouble.

Just from conversations with our neighbors and acquaintances, I would not put a yard sign in my yard or a sticker on any vehicle.

We know what Democratic underground is, don't we?

Hey trof, I'm Matt, a reporter with CBC News in Washington (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation).

Thinking about heading to Alabama in a few days for US election coverage. Any chance you'd be free to chat? Please email me at matt.kwong@cbc.ca. Thanks!

if I will let some cowardly knuckle-dragging mouth breather intimidate me. I live in a VERY red area of my state and my county routinely votes 75% Republican. I have about a dozen liberal/Democratic bumper stickers on my car and a large hand-lettered anti-Trump sign in my rear window. I wear anti-Tea Party shirts when I shop and wore one to the last Tea Party rally on the Courthouse Square.

When I get stared at I stare back and usually manage to blow a kiss when they flip me off. That drives them nuts!

When all else fails, I smile and tell them to kiss my ass.

But, that's just me.

And that's completely understandable. I've had some real bullies get howling mad at me in my very liberal area and even though I stood my ground calmly I don't doubt they could easily loose their temper and do something violent. And that I'm not going to criticize anyone for being concerned about, tough guy.

I understand that not everyone can react the way I do. In fact, I do what I do in part
BECAUSE of the many in the community who feel as I do, but simply can't handle confrontation as I do.

I also understand that the wingnuts in this community DEPEND on people being afraid of them. If pissing them off is "tough", so be it. I just consider it standing up to bagger bullies and I will continue doing it.

Again, I am not saying everyone should do as I do. But, those who could and just don't bother should rethink their approach. For those who can, "head on" is the best way to deal with these haters.

about he can't tolerate or live with Hillary supporters, wants the Democratic Party labeled as a terrorist organization, and to see members of liberal groups arrested and detained without due process.
