GOP Plans Aggressive Do Nothing Policy If Hillary Wins In November.

The GOP plans to do even less for 4 years and even up to 8 years if Hillary wins Presidency. So even before the election the leadership in the GOP making their intentions clear. So plan for complete obstruction on every initiative that Hillary or the Democrats put up. And more moves to repeal Obamacare in the future. And they will double down on taking women's and workers rights. And there will more and more aggressive restrictive laws regarding women's reproductive health care.

It is the expectation of the GOP that they will stay in power and even increase it in the off year elections. The whole country could be literally ablaze and they will stand aside because they to not have totalitarian power.

I have no link for this view, but I am sure you can count on them. Like a tiger you can tell these bastards by their stripes. Their public silence says volumes. They support Trump.

I'm so fucking sick of Republicans holding the whole country hostage to their stupidity. They need to shut up, sit down, and do their fucking jobs.

With a majority in the Senate we can at least push through one (or more) progressive justices into the SCOTUS. We may end up in paralysis as far as new laws go but at least we're not going to have ridiculous Supreme Court decisions as well.

With a friendly Court, we can get citizens united repealed and diminish the chances of the radical right to hold onto congressional seats they have no business holding

There need to be some ads shining a light on them with a simple explanation of how congress works. The ads should talk about specific areas Hillary will address and how every initiative can be axed by these losers who have socialized medicine and a great retirement package.

The only thing they do well is vote themselves raises and vote down term limits.

If they don't destroy this country in the next 8 years, no matter who wins, we'll be lucky.

I'm already putting some serious thinking into what will happen to this country. When the foundation is destroyed, the rest goes down with it.

Worse than doing nothing they will hammer Clinton with one phony scandal after the next after the next. Congressional elections will already be challenging in '18 as it is because Dems will be defending many more Senate seats than Republicans are. Sadly I don't know if Clinton can survive after 12 years of obstruction and phony scandals. Should she loose in 2020 and Republicans get to draw the district lines again it could be a very long time before we see any sanity.

Sorry for sharing my depressing nightmares but I think this is all a real possibility.

What bothers me is this: what is the Democratic Party going to do about this?

In the past, we've tried "meeting them halfway", "calling their bluff" and "appealing to their better nature". Almost all of these tactics have resulted in republicans getting far more of what they want then what they deserve.

I really hope the new 50 State Strategy is effective (and not top down) and that Clinton has an effective media/Executive strategy to deal with the republicans.

It's going to be worse because President Clinton will be going into office already fairly unpopular. Yes she will win the election handily. But a lot of that is going to be because of how horrible Trump is. When President Obama and even President Bill Clinton got into office there was a lot of good will on the part of the majority of the American public even in the face of Republican obstructionism. People wanted to believe in what they promised and wanted to give both of them a chance. I don't see Hillary getting that same good will.

I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong or whatever, but it would be naive to factor this in to what she's going to be able to accomplish and how much leeway the general public (ie not the GOP or their rabid base of mouth breathing racists) is will to give.

It's not good enough to say that you have no link, but you're "sure." Obstruction and gridlock have not served the GOP well, and they know that they continue that strategy at their peril.

Last time, we had the GOP obtruction strategy on record early, so we could say there were actual "GOP Plans." This time, you have no evidence and no idea what the GOP plans. You're just pulling that out of...wherever.
