Commercial ads and Trump's speaking style.

Think about what commercial are designed to do - convince you to buy something even if you don't need it; their goal is to sell their product.
Commercial ads use simple and commanding language that everyone understands, designed to make you go buy their product. They make all sorts of claims about their product being the BEST and you need it NOW...without providing evidence as to why. They are rude and authoritarian in nature.

I'm thinking there's a correlation between people who are mind-numbed by sitting in front of the TV for hours and hours every day, and Trump supporters.

His simple and incomplete way of speaking copies commercial ads.

That's basically what he's been doing all his life. He's a con man, a carnival barker, the guy who sells swampland in Florida and investments that are guaranteed to triple your money. He belongs in jail with kindred spirit Bernie Madoff.
