Nothing Has Really Changed Massive Segregation Still Exists Getting Worse.

If the redneck pricks had their way in this country we would be back to minorities riding the back of the bus and back to separate public facilities and "no Blacks, Hispanics, Asians" signs in or businesses. Trump exposes who the GOP and Trump supporters really are. Only in a future Trump Amurka it would be worse. We would have apartheid like existed in South Africa.

In fact we have split communities that more than resemble what has happened in South Africa. We have our own Sowetos in the US in actuality. And schools are now becoming desegregated via the charter school route. Plus the old property tax funding system has created schools of unequal quality.

I marched in anti-war protests in college. I wanted to see a world without conflict and division. Barack Obama was the first person I was old enough to vote for in 2008 and I cast my ballot with dreams in my eyes.

In less than 8 years it's turned into -- this.

The media never reveals it, but a close look at housing patterns through out the country would really show how divided things are. It is really obvious in the larger cities. And it is really noticeable in more rural areas. If there are minorities around in these areas they are sequestered out of site.

In my travels in rural areas I rarely see a minority either Asian, Hispanic or Black. And even in my home town in Springfield, Illinois the blacks are sequestered in the same area they have been for decades. They are moving into other areas where the housing values are so low that they are the buyers now. Many housed in the Springfield area are very old and need repairs. The newer houses are sequestered in the farm fields and nearby small town and western area of the city.

The make up of the schools in many city areas are de facto segregated. So we are getting back to what we had in the 1950's.

and doubling down on racist acting out is REACTION TO CHANGE, good change.

We should have expected when we elected our first black president that everyone from hostile police officers to hostile library clerks would grab opportunities to take out their resentment on people they see as easy victims.
