Writing Texas textbooks - More God needed

"I just contracted," Barton said, "about two weeks ago, we're doing a government textbook, a national government textbook but it will be very much in this kind of vein but it will meet the Texas TEKS standards and all the national standards for any state, it can be used in any state, except it will have a lot of God in it."

"After we get done with this," he continued, "our next project is to write a history curriculum. We've got these old history books and you cannot read an old history book without seeing God all over the place because God was just involved

Remember when you got your fill of God by going to church.

6. Should be a law. All textbooks list the word God* in their appendix, along with all page numbers.

have an "approved" list of textbooks that their schools may purchase. Texas is one of them. A "board" must approve any book being used in their state - thus the "board" is quite powerful and is determining which books are allowed to be sold there.
So, publishers want to keep the boards happy without having to publish too many versions of any particular curriculum
Consequently, those states with large populations AND a "controlling board" tend to dictate what books get published.
Now, think of what you know about Texas, its government leaders, and its political history - then guess what they will be looking for in their textbooks................
