Most repugs don't want to be associated with the orange bloviator. Any association we can make with THEIR potential POTUS would be a blow to their chances and credibility.
I suggest we produce some nice tRump yard signs that can be affixed to, or co-located with your existing local/state repug candidates.
It'll be fun to see how many of these orange tRump signs are removed by the repug apparatchiks as we move closer to possibly electing this misfit.
Let's question each repug constantly on their view of the position of the POTUS and who should be occupying the Oval Office, in their name.
I haven't ordered any yet but I think they'd work wonders in Vermont.

(15,168 posts)There are so many ways to influence people other that trying to use the "official" channels (the media.)
In Vermont, there is a local candidate that flooded lots of unoccupied lots with local GOP governor signs.
I just want everyone to understand when you elect a local official that it translates to other races. This was, I believe, one of the ways that the 'uglicans gained power across the spectrum. Grab the school boards, the select boards, the minor state position. Leverage your ideology into state and then national power.
It is totally logical to try to come up from the grass roots. I just don't think that the liberal/democrats are very good at much other than being "Oh no, you go first...." It's very hard to fight Rovian/Machiavellian tactics given our "niceness".
A bit of real guerrilla might scare those pesky 'uglicans back into their Man Caves.

(34,661 posts)Dem's will never go aggressive smash mouth. We have through the decades won the day via positive argumentation of the issues that effect society. I don't see that changing anytime soon. The ugly hate divisive in your face smash mouth, started with Nixon. Attwater,Ailes and of late,Rove with the use of Frank Luntz beta testing yelling points, have change our Nations Politic. But,we are seeing things changing,Trump and the lack of Rethugs not dissing him, will cause a shift in the next cycle. We are seeing the Media so lacking in their ability to be balanced and that in it self will cause a reset in their practices. Media only survives on a for profit bases and I would say,the majority of Americans fed up and will vote with their pocket books by not subscribing to their crappy product.
Sad to say,to many of our new young voters still to this day,do not get involved.

(5,325 posts)Are you saying that when we see a "[Whomever] (R) for Senate" sign in someone's yard, we should put a Trump sign next to it?
