the news media quit this constant reporting of these things the way to fame which these attention seekers want would dry up and most likely would the shootings.
These are people with mental issues that want to be famous.
If TV and radio even just listed them as shooter X instead of using their real name it would go a long way to curbing this issue.

There is one in newsweek now
In July, researchers presented a terrifying idea: mass killings and school shootings may be contagious. Using a mathematical contagion model typically applied to the spread of diseases, the study found that 30 percent of mass killings and 22 percent of school shootings appeared to have been inspired by previous events. One possible reason, says lead author Sherry Towers, is media coverage.

“What we found was, in ones that didn’t get a lot of media attention there was no contagion, and in the ones where we did see a lot of media attention, that’s where we saw the contagion,” Towers says.

Towers and her colleagues found that 13 days was the period of contagion in which a copycat killer or shooter might most likely strike. That length of time is problematic in the current media landscape, in which journalists tweet breaking news as it unfolds and seek to scoop other reporters by a matter of seconds. http://www.newsweek.com/media-reporters-cover-mass-killings-umpqua-shooting-378866

And the rest either carry concealed weapons permits and have a gun on them or carry the gun illegally or are scared to go to school because they don't have a gun.

Thanks for the clarification. I heard a rumor that when one is born in that state the nra buys a gun for them. Kind of like an anchor gun baby.

I guess it was some gun nut who was just doing his duty of being able to be big man on campus with a gun. Crazy world we live in. How do the cops pick out Cleatus when all the other Cleatuses are carrying a gun.
