We are seeing the well-established predatory trait, which has existed for millions of years, of a hungry stalker using camouflage to lure her prey to dinner.

She is suddenly all for Wallstreet reform, against the TPP (which she was for!), and is now meeting BLM activists all just before the first primary debate.

Brazen pandering is a known quantity with her as many noted in 2008. Some who pointed out the lies and distortions then have 'evolved' apparently though.

3. This group is focusing on the wrong individuals. They need to focus on the states who make the laws

The President doesn't have the ability to tell all the states follow what I propose. The states and communities make the real laws. So the Black power is wasting it times. Yes, they are getting press, but not accomplishing what they want too. Get wise Black Power and start on the state politicians.

The federal government (and California i believe) led the way not thinking about the cost of incarcerating so many people and how impossible it would be to offer needed educational and remedial and psychological services to so many inmates.

I can't wait to see Bernie's proposals on this issue.

The media is giving Hillary credit for changing her mind when she is only changing it because Bernie -- the honest one, the leader in this campaign -- is riding on her tail and forcing her to at least claim to be saying what he has been saying all along.

Hillary is a second-rate candidate. There I said it.

She is a follower and not a leader.

She is too focused on polls and not enough on asking the right questions in order to get the right answers.

Feel the Bern!

After her husband signed a bill that helped enable the formation of private prisons across the country?

"We had gang warfare on the streets. We had little children being shot dead on the streets who were just innocent bystanders standing in the wrong place," he said.

In response, Clinton said, the bill increased the number of police on the streets and enacted gun control legislation. But decades later, Clinton believes the results of the law were mixed, at best.

"In that bill, there were longer sentences. And most of these people are in prison under state law, but the federal law set a trend," Clinton said. "And that was overdone. We were wrong about that. That percentage of it, we were wrong about. "

. . . .

(Clinton explains that too many people ended up in prison, especially after three-strikes.)

"And we wound up ... putting so many people in prison that there wasn't enough money left to educate them, train them for new jobs and increase the chances when they came out so they could live productive lives," he said."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/15/politics/bill-clinton-1994-crime-bill/

And now, without crediting Sanders for having been the first and the strongest to focus on changing the laws that led to so much demand for prison cells that private prisons saw a potential profit and moved in much more than before, CNN credits Hillary with rushing to the rescue of the millions who are needlessly, expensively and hopelessly incarcerated.

CNN. Do your job. Report fairly and and morally.

Give credit where credit is due.

Why is this important.

Because this is yet another of a long list of issues on which Bill Clinton (and Hillary Clinton) made huge, huge, huge mistakes. They were weak in the face of public opinion. They were not leaders. They were followers of the crowd -- people-pleasers instead of people-persuaders.

The list of the mistakes made by the Clintons is long. This is just yet-another.

Now, we are all human. We all make mistakes.

But the Clintons' mistakes are due to their failure to ask the right questions before they make a decision. Instead of asking, "what do the polls show," they should be asking "what is my social responsibility here?" and "what is morally right here?"

"What will the repercussions for the nation and the world be if I decide this way? What will they be if I decide this other way?"

The Iraq War vote is the most important and most disastrous example of Hillary's failure to make a good decision. That War has led to more insecurity and more death in the Middle East, more fanaticism, more hate.

She is by no means solely responsible for that war, but her voice, had she shown courage and wisdom, just might have changed things, might have brought others to question the assumptions that war rested upon.

The Clintons have enjoyed immense power and influence. But in my opinion they have not used it as stewards of the earth should. And Hillary as a Methodist will know what I mean when i sue the term "steward."

We are all entrusted with the ability to care for others and our world. And we have a moral obligation to try to do our best and not to be drawn to do less than that by our desire for success, power, position, wealth, or any other of the seductive offerings of the world.

We have a duty to our world and to others to ask questions and make wise decisions. The Clintons have failed to carry out that duty too many times.

And much of the problem is due to a lack of real humility on the part of the Clintons.

Bernie Sanders is a better person and a better candidate for our time.

As you look back on his career, his position has been the morally and socially wisest on many, many issues and it is because he asks the morally important questions and accepts and acts on the answers, is always willing to learn more and ask more questions and act on new answers when necessary. He doesn't wait for poll results. The Clintons do.

Hillary Clinton spent quite a bit of money on polling. It was reported here on DU just a couple of months ago or so. That is not needed if you are following your conscience and moral guidance.

Feel the Bern!

9. WTF? So is Hillary giving back all that $$$$ Private Prison$ have raised for her campaign now???

Lobbyists for two major prison companies—Corrections Corporation of America and the Geo Group—are serving as top fundraisers for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The implication is that laws governing crime and incarceration will deliver more inmates and profits to private prison companies if Clinton is elected.
