Hillary Clinton Overtakes Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire, Poll Shows

By Peter Nicholas

A new poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton topping challenger Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire, the state that holds the first primary election in the 2016 presidential contest.

Mrs. Clinton leads Mr. Sanders, a senator from Vermont, by 38% to 34%, according to the WBUR poll, which surveyed 401 likely voters in the Democratic primary from Oct. 15-18.

Vice President Joe Biden, who is mulling a presidential run, was in third place with 9%, down from 14% in September, the poll showed. Far behind, with 1% of the vote, was former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley............

The poll is consistent with previous surveys which show Mrs. Clinton getting a bounce from what was widely perceived as her strong performance last week in the first Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas.

Yesterday--the New Hampshire PPP poll also showed Hillary leading in NH.

Congratulations to Hillary and her fabulous Team.

prison than black people. Real incarceration numbers vs incarceration rates. This "Clinton is winning" narrative so so important to the Hillarians they will obfuscate just to reinforce it.

It's a bad picture of her. OK, I see it's not at the Wall Street Urinal site. They have better pictures of her.

But really, do we expect fairness from the Wall Street Urinal? Murdoch only tells the truth by accident in his news organization. The Wall Street Urinal is FOX for rich people.

WBUR Poll: Clinton Rises Again In New Hampshire
October 21, 2015

Listen

A new WBUR poll of likely Democratic primary voters finds Hillary Clinton edging ahead of Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire. Here are Clinton and Sanders during the Oct. 13 Democratic debate in Las Vegas. (John Locher/AP)

By Fred Bever

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Hillary Clinton’s star is rising again in New Hampshire, while Bernie Sanders may have hit a wall in the first primary state.

A WBUR poll just a month ago had the Vermont senator leading the former secretary of state. No more.

A new WBUR survey (topline, crosstabs), conducted Thursday through Sunday, finds the two have swapped places, with Clinton leapfrogging Sanders by 4 points among likely Democratic primary voters...............

Sanders’ level of support may be lapping at a high-water mark in New Hampshire, but he hasn’t actually lost much support. Instead, Clinton’s new momentum comes at the expense of Vice President Joe Biden, who still hasn’t decided whether to jump into the race.

Remember this one? I'd like to know what their numbers are since the debate. CNN has done a national poll, but I can't find one for NH. I'm beginning to wonder if this was an outlier. No other poll showed that big a spread between the two.

Hillary Clinton trails Sanders in New Hampshire, even without Joe Biden in the race
By Jennifer Agiesta, CNN Polling Director
Fri September 25, 2015

(CNN)—Hillary Clinton trails Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic nomination for president in New Hampshire, even if Vice President Joe Biden decides not to make a run for the White House, according to a new CNN/WMUR poll.

Sanders has the backing of nearly half of those who say they plan to vote in the first-in-the-nation Democratic primary next year -- 46% support him -- while just 30% say they back Clinton. Another 14% say they would support Biden, 2% former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, 1% former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, and less than half of 1% back former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee or Harvard professor Lawrence Lessig.

AP-GfK Poll: Clinton seen as most likely winner if nominated

WASHINGTON (AP) — The vast majority of Democrats have a favorable view of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll that shows her recovering lost ground within her own party since the summer.

And among all major candidates for the presidency, she's viewed as most likely to win next November if she is nominated.
