Two dead in Moroccan football riots

Source: Deutsche Welle

Two people have been killed and dozens injured at a football match in Morocco. Rival fans of two Casablanca clubs - Raja and Chabab - attacked each other in the stands and later outside the stadium.

Video released by French-language news portal lemag.ma showed the riots began on Saturday soon after the final whistle of the game in which Raja de Casablanca beat Chabab Rif Al Hoceima by two goals to one.

The footage showed supporters of Raja engaging in running battles, throwing flares and bottles at the Chabab fans and damaging parts of the Stade Mohammed V stadium. The hooligans also pelted stones at cars parked outside the stadium.

Police have arrested more than 30 people in connection with the riots and opened an inquiry into the incident.

Such as the throw at 2:11. As a former HS baseball player I was surprised to see the distance a soccer hooligan can throw something that is on fire.
