Christie mum on Trump proposal to close U.S. border in wake of Brussels attacks

LONG BRANCH — Gov. Chris Christie balked on Tuesday when asked whether he supports Republican front-runner Donald Trump's proposal to "close up our borders to people" in the wake of the deadly terrorists attacks in Brussels.

Christie, who supported a ban on allowing Syrian refugees enter New Jersey when he was campaigning for president, was asked about Trump's latest comments on Tuesday. But he did not stake a position.

Asked whether he would work to block the arrival of any future refugees to New Jersey following the most recent attacks, Christie reiterated that, despite his objections, he's powerless to block refugees from coming to the Garden State.

"There's nothing we can do in New Jersey, as I've said before on this issue. This is a federal issue and the federal government gets to determine immigration decisions," Christie said.

Apparently Trump stepped into to Christie for his lame way of explaining what Trump meant by riots. so Christie was mummified !!!

Here Christie on the sly is expressing his discomfort for having been squashed again by Trump over the phone no doubt,because of Christie's love of the media attention and his struggle to remain relevant.

Christie more or less reiterated something he said on the campaign trail during his campaign for the republican nomination,Christie said- I know what I can do and what I can't do. He went on to say Trump is not worthy of the presidency and cannot insult his way to the white house.

Clearly Christie has serious issues with Trump about having been made to sit down and for the most part shut up at the staged town hall meet in North Carolina starring Trump and his fans !

Still he wouldn't answer the direct question ,but he did get his licks in ,in his own way !
