Prime suspect 'not arrested' (Brussels suspect was previously reported as arrested)

Source: BBC

A suspect arrested in Brussels this morning was not Najim Laachraoui, thought to be one of three men in a CCTV image taken before the Zaventem airport attack, some Belgian media are now saying

The newspaper, DH, which first reported the story, says the man detained earlier on Wednesday in the Anderlecht district had been misidentified.

Police and prosecutors have not commented on the reports and are due to hold a news conference within the next hour.

Brussels attacks: Airport bombing suspect 'arrested'

A key suspect in the attacks in Brussels has been arrested, Belgian media say, quoting judicial sources.

Najim Laachraoui, thought to be the man on the right in a CCTV image taken before the Zaventem airport attack, was detained in the Anderlecht area.

Two of the other attackers have been named in Belgian media as the brothers Khalid and Brahim el-Bakraoui.

Twin explosions at the airport and another at a metro station on Tuesday left about 34 dead and 250 wounded.

1. Apparently the other two attackers had been in jail and were released early for some reason?

Glad this person was arrested, but Belgium seems to very lenient on terrorists. Maybe they can extradite him to France or somewhere else where he'll actually serve his jail sentence.

That'll give France the right to extradition. It really does seem like Belgium turns away from what's happening right in front of their faces.

This suspect we will be treated humanely. No enhanced interrogation, no water boarding, no torture. He will be afforded the rights he is entitled to.

from your blanket statement that he would be treated any differently in Belgium than he would here in the US. You should know better.

would treat the Muslims. Belgium has isolated and trash them so they end up as terrorist, just like Cruz and Trump wants to do.

ed innocent people.

a Christian was stabbed to death in Bangladesh last week because he converted away from islam. How was that mistreating the muslims.

England has bent over backwards to support muslims with the result that some radical preachers, while on welfare, are promoting the destruction of the west.

and we are told to continue showing more and more acceptance while the radical muslim attacks continue.

Have you watched the programs where a spokesperson is asked to denounce the notion that apostates should be executed or that adulterers and the like should not be stoned to death? I don't recall an immediate denunciation only a lot of smiles and then parsing of words.
