Source: The Hill
Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called for the U.S. to begin treating cyberattacks like any other assault on the country.
As president, I will make it clear that the United States will treat cyberattacks just like any other attack, the Democratic presidential nominee said. We will be ready with serious political, economic and military responses.
Clinton called for the U.S. to lead the world in setting the rules in cyberspace.
If America doesnt, others will, she said.

Put them on notice, protect society, and act to defend what has become critical to our way of life.

(21,317 posts)It is too hard to establish who the perpetrator is, and too easy to create a false flag excuse for war. Imagine Russia doing this to justify an attack on Ukraine, for example, Imagine a future Bush-like regime resorting to this. It would be a good way to justify a war that a country desired for other reasons.
Political and economic responses are a better idea.
