Zinke denies he's under investigation for lying
Source: The Hill
Former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on Thursday denied reports he is under investigation for lying to the Interior Inspector General's Office.
Zinke told The Associated Press in his first interview since leaving office that the allegations he lied to investigators are false.
The Washington Post earlier in the day reported that the department's public integrity section is looking into whether Zinke lied to watchdog's office, which was looking into various inquiries pertaining to Zinke's tenure. The Justice Department is now probing the matter for potential criminal violations, sources told the Post.

Its an unauthorized leak from an anonymous source over false allegations, Zinke told the AP.

(24,695 posts)Despite the Democrats newfound power in Washington and regardless of who is nominated to replace Zinke, industry representatives said the changes he made will be lasting. Thats because they were made through Interior Department regulations rather than Congressional action, said Dan Naatz, vice president of government relations for the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
Although Secretary Zinke was effective at what he was doing, the policy really came from the president, Naatz said. We dont expect any major changes.

First and foremost you and this industry representative...............forget one little important aspect of this above comment.........................congress can deny you access to the land: we can take away and give it back to the public, the BLM is managed by Congress though the Interior department ......................so go fuck yourself and your horse you ride on..........Congress makes the law for the departments to operate under..............

And as for Zinke......................I have a feeling that he will be convicted...................just like they did at Teapot Dome and that corruption, with industry..........................
