White House Contemplates Weeks More of Shutdown

WASHINGTON—The partial government shutdown, now three weeks long, would become the longest in history tomorrow. And it may extend for weeks to come.

President Trump’s aides have started preparations for the State of the Union speech, discussing how to use the Jan. 29 address if the shutdown remains in place, White House officials said.

Regardless of the status of the shutdown on Jan. 29. trump deserves nothing in the way of respectful behavior from Democrats.

This would have put the onus on the victims. It was amusing only because it never gained any ground and was quickly dropped. At least Trump apparently realized that very few others are as gullible as his "base." Anyone else catch that?

You have to wonder if this is part of Putin’s plan, shutting down the American government. So while everyone is thinking that Trump is doing this for his base, I wonder if he is doing this because this is Putin’s direction to Trump.
