She's anti-choice, so a lot of the conservative Catholics and fundies will vote for her simply for that reason. The inner suburbs are gaining more residents of color (especially Liberian refugees), and this infuriates the white flight types. Bachmann also has a huge following among mean-and-dumb males, who think she's "hot" and good at getting liberals mad. They're dumb enough that they don't realize that she's talking nonsense, and what minds they have are poisoned by talk radio.
