Trump Twitter rants about 'voter fraud' as his 2020 re-election prospects dim

Source: RawStory

With his popularity plunging — even among his base after not coming through on the promise of a border wall — Donald Trump kicked off Sunday morning on Twitter ranting about massive voter fraud.

Admitting that he is watching Fox & Friends again, Trump tweeted: “58,000 non-citizens voted in Texas, with 95,000 non-citizens registered to vote. These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. All over the country, especially in California, voter fraud is rampant. Must be stopped. Strong voter ID! @foxandfriends”

You can see the tweet below:

If I were an undocumented alien, I'd register to vote right away. That way I'd be noticed and deported. And if I got a chance to vote, they'd throw me in jail for a while and then deport me.

Idiot.

Fox is not helping trump.

Either that or they’re too stupid or ill informed to draw rational conclusions.

Texas is a very big state. The Republican attorney general, Ken Paxton, looked at 20 years of data to come up with his numbers. Even if they are correct, that doesn't mean there are 98K "illegal" registered voters now, or that 58K voted illegally in 2016. But let's take the worst case scenario and say that was the case.

8.5 Million votes were cast in Texas in 2016. Trump won Texas by 800K votes. 58K would be less than 1% of the total, .68% to be specific. Assuming all of those "illegal" voters were bad hombres from Mexico, Latinos do tend to vote for the Democratic candidate about 2/3s of the time. 2/3 of .68% is .45%. So AT THE WORST (to Trump) we're talking about 38K "illegal" votes against him. It wasn't enough to make him lose Texas in 2016 and it won't be enough in 2020 and Texas requires voter ID.

Sounds like Trump is setting up for a coup when he loses in 2020.

BTW, Ken Paxton still has securities fraud charges pending against him. After several delays, he is supposed to go to trial in 2019.

I too am a Texan and do not underestimate what depths Trump will go to. You hit the nail on the head in your passing remark about Trump setting things up for coup. I have been saying that for a year at least - since he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He does not intend to leave the WH or surrender the Presidency during his lifetime. Just connect the dots, he plants the seeds in twitter messages, sometimes with just a sentence. "I like the idea of President for life"; If I lose in 2020 there will be violence in the streets; has broken ties to our traditional allies; buddied up to the other major nuclear powers that happen to be controlled by autocratic government. etc. And he will turn around his planned coup and declare a national emergency and impose martial lawl, and use the military to enforce it because under the constitution and US law he can use the military to to address an insurgency. He will claim the election is invalid if he loses because of fraud perpetrated by the deep state conspirators (radical Democrats) who are trying to stage a coup against him. He will say he will remain in office until the insurrection is quashed and he has things under control.

that he would rather believe the babbling Fox news celebrity talkshow hosts rather than the well documented research from his own government agencies.

If you know who they are, (you have to in order to count them) take them to court. Prosecute and deport them. Get them out of the country before 2020. Problem solved.

What? You just want to bitch and disenfranchise masses of people that won't vote for you? Shut the fuck up, Donny. You're out your element.

And like the ratfucking saboteur that he is, Trump is strewing seeds of bothsidesism to obfuscate and mislead.

Nothing but lies and dirty tricks, but the base is mindless and hateful, so it's a match made in hell.
