WASHINGTON — Lawmakers from both parties are calling on the U.S. Postal Service to immediately reverse operational changes that are causing delays in deliveries across the country just as big volume increases are expected for mail-in election voting.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said Thursday that changes imposed by the new, Republican postmaster general "threaten the timely delivery of mail — including medicines for seniors, paychecks for workers and absentee ballots for voters — that is essential to millions of Americans.''

In separate letters, two Montana Republicans, Sen. Steve Daines and Rep. Greg Gianforte, also urged the Postal Service to reverse the July directive, which eliminates overtime for hundreds of thousands of postal workers and mandates that mail be kept until the next day if distribution centers are running late.

"This action, if not rescinded, will negatively impact mail delivery for Montanans and unacceptably increase the risk of late prescriptions, commercial products or bill delivery,'' Daines said Thursday in a letter to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

For doing this intentionally to them to slow the mail down for political purposes . Another reason many more are turning on them now, and creating an even bigger landslide against them. This is political suicide , and a stupid self destructing tactic backfiring on them now.

The election disruption plan is not to have universal slowdowns like we're seeing now. What's happening now is just a test and dry run which also enables them to gather info about which postmasters where are the most loyal.

Next step is to miraculously "fix" the problem they created and make everything seem normal again.

However, they don't have to destroy the whole system to fuck with the election. In 2016, they only had to minimally change a few states' results to steal the election. In 2020, they may only need to mess up a few Zip codes mail for a couple weeks, say a few Zip codes in Milwaukee, a few in cities like Flint, a few here and there, and Voila! several close states are flipped because their ballots are in the loyal postmasters' garages.

Even after they pretend to cave and seem to start delivering the mail again, that's when the danger is. That's when we need vigilance. We need constant active monitoring and rapid response.

First time this ever happened to me.

It seems this entire nation and its institutions are crumbling before our eyes.

It's absurd, one is just within California too. Mailed from Los Angeles then somehow went all the way past me up to Sacramento only to disappear over the past two weeks now.

There's nothing for anyone to like in the slowdown of mail delivery. It's an equal-opportunity disaster for patients waiting for meds to be delivered, for people operating small businesses, for families sheltering at home and in need of supplies, and of course for voters.
