Doc Neeson, one of Australias finest and the singer for the Angels from 1974 though the end of the 90s, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.
A post by his partner Annie Souter on Neesons Facebook page broke the news. It is with deep sadness and regret that the family of Angels singer/songwriter Bernard Doc Neeson loving father, family member and friend to so many announce he has passed away in his sleep at 7.15am, today, 4th June 2014.
Neeson had been diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2012 and though it was removed in 2013, an MRI scan earlier this year showed it had returned. He will be deeply missed by his family and partner Annie Souter who would all like to thank everyone for their support through this dark time, continued the posting. Angels bassist Chris Bailey died after his own cancer battle just over one year ago.
