Romney tries to re-emerge as force in GOP politics

BOSTON (AP) — Mitt Romney once feared that he would be viewed as “a loser for life” if he failed to win the presidency. In this midterm election year, the former presidential nominee is trying to re-emerge as a force in Republican politics.

Romney is quietly seeking kingmaker status in the GOP’s fight for the Senate majority this fall and its quest to retake the White House in 2016.

The effort at revival is fueling whispers about a third presidential run. But those closest to Romney suggest that he’s more interested in shaping party politics by helping the next generation of electable conservatives.

This week Romney hosts his annual “ideas summit” in Park City, Utah. The private event features potential presidential contenders, key members of his inner circle and major political donors.

6. Leme, I don’t think he’ll reveal any economic plans, nor will he reveal his tax returns.

According to my accountant, who is also licensed for securities, Romney’s returns were designed to be amended and completed a few years later. Rather than pay any taxes, he actually receives refunds (subsidies) of over one million per year. He’s one of those “takers” we’ve heard about from Republicans.

Now you know why Romney never disclosed any completed returns.

And all I get is a picture of a dozen old white guys in suits, sitting around a table saying nothing.

As one of the great unwashed 47% I don't care what you say to the clown posse or your rich buddies at your little get together. But if I were you I would check for any cameras in the room, you know, just in case. Didn't work out so well for you last time as people found out who you really are and what you truly think about half of the people in this country. It wasn't pretty!
Please, just go away. Quietly.

Promises, promises. I'm sick to death of him and anything he has to say that's longer than goodbye.
