Quinnipiac poll: Braley has 4-point edge on Ernst in Iowa Senate race

COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Iowa's open race for U.S. Senate is shaping up to be a close contest.
A poll released Wednesday showed Democratic nominee Bruce Braley with a slight edge over Republican Joni Ernst following the June 3 primary.
The Quinnipiac University poll had Braley, a congressman from Waterloo, with 44 percent support. Ernst, a state senator from Red Oak, had 40 percent.
The survey of 500 perspective voters was conducted June 12-16. It had a margin of error of 2.7 percentage points.
