Brewer Might Support Pro-LGBT Bill: 'I Don't Believe In Discrimination'

Source: TPM

CAITLIN MACNEAL – JUNE 18, 2014, 2:31 PM EDT

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) said on Tuesday that she might support expanding the state's nondiscrimination law to protect gay and lesbian individuals, according to the Arizona Capitol Times.

“I do not believe in discrimination,” she said. “We are in the United States of America and we have great privilege that is afforded to everyone.”

The governor, who vetoed anti-gay legislation in February, did not outright endorse expanding the state's civil rights law, but urged the legislature to consider it.

She said on Tuesday she wasn't sure how much discrimination there is in Arizona against LGBT individuals. “That’s something we don’t see a lot of anymore, because of people’s changing patterns of discrimination,” she said.

has turned so now craven politicians like her are trying to jump on the bandwagon. Don't believe for a minute that she would be taking this position if polls showed gay marriage losing as was the case in the past.

- It's the heat. Some, like Sheriff Arpaio, have their brains shrivel up to the size of a raisin. Fungi have more brain capacity than he does now, at this point.

For others like Jan here, its a dry heat cleansing heat. You stay in it long enough and you soon don't care about anything but trying to stay cool.....
