(54,341 posts)My wife and I were in NYC in April after the Zumwalt christening, and were going to have dinner with one of the MSNBC anchors. She canceled at the last minute saying the whole MSNBC roster was in panic and was being recalled to the studios because O'Donnell had been in a serious car wreck in the Virgin Islands, and wouldn't be doing his show for a long while. This was the first night, so any free anchor was called back to the station to fill in. She stopped by for breakfast the next morning to fill us in what happened.

(856 posts)I agree onehandle, Lawrence on Rachel's show expressed his gratitude to Phil Griffin & MSNBC for getting him & his brother back to NY & Boston so quickly. The Daily Beast interview is a must read because it reveals not only the serious injuries sustained but also the emotional stress experienced by such a horrible accident.
