Police: Cop killers heavily armed, wore diapers
By KEN RITTER, Associated Press | June 23, 2014 | Updated: June 23, 2014 5:39pm

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man and woman who killed two Las Vegas police officers in a pizza shop and a shopper in a Wal-Mart before they died in a store shootout earlier this month were heavily armed and carried ammunition including armor-piercing bullets, Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie said Monday.

Jerad and Amanda Miller wore adult diapers and carried four handguns, a shotgun, water and food, Gillespie said. The couple also smashed a Wal-Mart sporting-goods display case with a baseball bat to get more ammunition as they exchanged gunfire with SWAT officers, he said.

The husband and wife died June 8 after being cornered in the back of the store in the 15-minute shootout. In all, 52 shots were fired by the Millers and police inside the store. The husband and wife fired 36 shots, Gillespie said, and police fired 16.

"The two suspects involved in this horrible event were well-armed and ready to kill as many cops as they could," Gillespie said in the latest update of the investigation of the shooting that left officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck and Wal-Mart shopper Joseph Wilcox dead.

People with guns don't kill cops, people who wear diapers wear cops. It all Depends on who you are lobbying for.

as they were incompetent in life. Multiple firearms. Access to an ammo horde. Only killed 3 persons other than themselves, and had to fire multiple rounds to do that.

If you look at it that way, their provisioning for a longer time makes perfect sense.

If so, could this be the next trend in mass shootings?
Head to Walmart to find abundant ammo and lots of innocents to victimize.

In some States they can "open carry" their weapons into the store in full view with no one to stop them, walk up to the ammo department and then demand all their goods.

hours, with backpacks/guns and must have been 'ready' for their final deed to start. diapers?

Guess their personal 'Fantasy mass murder-siege' didn't include him being shot early & the early suicides.

He was a convicted Felon and also subject to home confinement and monitored parole. No guns are allowed. Why didn't the people associated with his parole terms make sure the woman he lived with, his wife- didn't own or buy guns? The authorities monitored him by computer, why didn't they monitor his computer use? He would have lost his parole over the online statements he made, the statements he made to neighbors or the gun access

They did a bit like that on THE SHIELD once, where they flushed out a killer by saying evidence at the crime scene indicated he was an impotent bedwetter or something like that.

31. No handgun ammo is "armor-piercing"
Tue Jun 24, 2014, 03:50 PM
Jun 2014

The article states they were carrying handguns and a shotgun. The only ammo capable of piercing police vests are rifle cartridges, however, as even top-of-the-line 9mm ammo cannot beat Kevlar.

I wonder if they brought along some 5.56mm ammo, or grabbed some from Walmart, on the assumption they would take the AR-15's from the officer's car, or find one in Walmart?

Steel-core rifle ammo is still OK, I believe. But even if that were banned as well, an old-fashioned lead-and-copper rifle round will still penetrate body armor; it's just the fact it's going so damn fast more than the bullet's construction.
