North Korea threatens war on US over Kim Jong-un movie

Source: BBC

North Korea has promised "merciless" retaliation if a forthcoming Hollywood movie about killing Kim Jong-un is released, say agencies.

A North Korean foreign ministry spokesman said in state media that the movie's release would be an "act of war".

He did not mention the title, but a Hollywood movie called The Interview with a similar plot is due in October.

Hollywood actors James Franco and Seth Rogen star in the action-comedy film.

But if they want to issue a fatwa against Rogen, Franco, and (presumably) Judd Apatow for making bad movies, I could support that.

The Koreans make great war movies !
This movie is called' assembly',I watched it like halfway before I realized it had subtitles[had to turn it on This movie is a 4 and one half star movie, all the N Korea has to do is invade our movie theaters with their war movies. They would crush us.

The first six are South Korean. "Assembly" is a Chinese film. I'd have to imagine a North Korean movie would look a little more like Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will".

The DMZ will and would not stop anything.... The only thing keeping North Korea from becoming a parking lot is civility. South Korea, and allies could walk through North Korea and unify the country all but for the deaths of the innocent civilians in NK.

Same with Vietnam.

There is a serious home field advantage even if the country attacking is much larger.

Die Another Day (2002) is the twentieth spy film in the James Bond series, and the fourth and last film to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. The film follows Bond as he leads a mission to North Korea, during which he is betrayed and, after seemingly killing a rogue North Korean colonel, is captured and imprisoned. More than a year later Bond is released as part of a prisoner exchange. Surmising that someone within the British government betrayed him, he attempts to earn redemption by tracking down his betrayer and killing a North Korean agent he believes was involved in his torture.

This one does seem provocative in killing Kim, though. Wonder if the producers meant that?

- And he wants script-approval on all women and all men over 5' 8'' in the movie. What a Pre-Madonna!
