Wikileaks Doxxes CIA Chief’s Wife and Daughters

The anti-secrecy outfit once known for exposing potential war crimes is now publishing the personal information of civilians instead.
It will go down as one of Wikileaks’ more astonishing achievements that it managed to turn the director of the CIA—a man who some have vilified as the architect of the drone wars and an endorser of torture—into a sympathetic character.

But that’s what happened on Wednesday when the Web site devoted to transparency and government accountability published loads of personal information about John Brennan, his wife and children, and other people close to him that had no obvious connection to his work as the CIA chief or his earlier role as President Obama’s homeland security and counterterrorism adviser.

Wikileaks said the documents it published, which include a lengthy background check form that Brennan was filling out before joining the Obama administration in 2009, were obtained by a hacker who broke into Brennan’s personal email account. Readers hoping to see inside details of Brennan’s role in covert intelligence program were instead shown the names and birth dates of his two daughters, as well as Brennan’s parents’ dates of birth and their home address. Also the same information for his brother. And his sister.

touted by the likes of Assange/Greenwald/Scahill.

You see, these people are nothing but narcissistic swine with self-serving agendas. They are, of course, all tools of Putin.

Anything they write should be dismissed as hypocritical hyperbole.

You may now return to your Two-Minute Hate of Edward Snowden, followed by prayers to the Holy Trinity of James Clapper, Keith Alexander, and John Brennan.

'Loveint': NSA letter discloses employee eavesdropping on girlfriends, spouses
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023739446

National Security Agency employees improperly eavesdropped on the phone calls of girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives and spouses and engaged in other "intentional" abuses of their authority on 12 occasions since 2003, according to a newly released letter by the agency's inspector general.

The agency also has two open investigations into alleged misuse of its eavesdropping authorities and is reviewing a third one for possible investigation, according to a letter by NSA inspector general Dr. George Ellard.

Ellard's letter – in response to an inquiry by GOP Sen. Charles Grassley – was prompted by media reports that NSA employees at times have been caught in what is informally known as "loveint" – collecting intelligence on love interests. But until now, the specific examples and the frequency of such cases have never been disclosed by the NSA.

In one case revealed by Ellard, an NSA employee for five years snooped on the phone calls of nine female foreign nationals "without a valid foreign intelligence purposes." In another, 2011 instance, an NSA employee admitted it was "her practice" to eavesdrop on foreign phone numbers "she obtained in social settings" in order to ensure she was not talking to “shady characters.'' Both employees resigned before any disciplinary action could be taken

But just like Sony, there *is* a lot of personal, identifying info. So what is their reasoning for this bullshit stunt?
