... and the practice was recommended to me by a long-time DUer when I first joined, but if there's a book of etiquette I don't know about, do provide a link. If, however, it is just your personal judgement, I suggest you keep it to yourself.

For the record, I do not subscribe to the existence of an omnipotent deity, either, but don't you find it more than a bit ironic that the Atheists & Agnostics are in the Religion and Spirituality category? I thought that seeking the security of a group restricted to only those who agree with you was just for the desperately devout. Oh well, to each his own.

You don't have to be an atheist to join in the discussions. We get some lively debates.

There's a common etiquette in society that frowns on people blowing their own horn. No law against it, so toot away.
