the shooter either takes his own life, or the shooting ends much quicker. Police are trained for this and make the long dollar. Funny how they have these in-services and encourage intervention (And that should happen if they can), but, when police are put in the same situation, lots of times the bravery, and valor, and answers are sorely lacking. And that's their job.
Teachers are many things to children and students. It's not another job teachers should have to do....AT ALL.
The guard hiding outside in FLA was a perfect example of "do as i say, not as I do." Good to have the in-service, but, I hope that doesn't somehow give the cops the idea that they are any less responsible for putting shooters out of business quickly when this happens.
