Good Ole Boys’ Family Feud: As Romney sinks, Republicans turn on each other ......

from In These Times:

A Good Ole Boys’ Family Feud
As Romney sinks, Republicans turn on each other, and the ‘Southern strategy’ implodes at last.

BY Theo Anderson

The knives are coming out and conservatives are turning on each another as President Obama establishes a lead of several points in the polls.

In Politico this week, the television host Joe Scarborough warned fellow conservatives that “we should be willing to face the fact that Mitt Romney is likely to lose—and should, given that he’s neither a true conservative nor a courageous moderate. He’s just an ambitious man.”

At National Review, Andy McCarthy wrote recently that there “is a big conservative base out there—bigger than the third of the country we’ve lost. But they’re left to scratch their heads and say, ‘I’m supporting this guy [Romney] … why?’”

On her radio show, Laura Ingraham said that if the Romney campaign can’t beat Obama in this “gimme election,” the GOP should shut itself down. “Start new, with new people,” she said. “Election after election, we hire people who have lost previous campaigns … and they keep getting re-hired.” ................(more)

It means that if you arrived on planet Earth right now and took a look around, without knowing any of the specifics of what has gone on in the past, you would most likely predict a Republican rout in this election. Why? Look around you! EVERY indicator seems to be either in yellow or flashing red. By every measure, by every indicator - this SHOULD be a sure-fire death knell for the incumbent party in power.

(1) Economy still sucks large. Bills continue growing, paychecks continue...not growing. Price of gas just keeps going up and up and up.
BUT - people are just NOT as dumb as Republicans would love. They r e m e m b e r. They remember who did this. They know who
continues to hamstring all measures designed to try to alleviate or fix the problems.

(2) War is threatening all over the danged planet - seems EVERYBODY is royally pissed off these days. THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH
FREEDOM - people are FREE to express opinions that have been festering for years, for decades. What do they do? They are most
likely to show their collective asses - it's human nature, baby. They do A LOT of things that are guaranteed to enrage the powers
that be - simply to....enrage the powers that be. Because they can. I can predict - right here and now - that we've seen only the
tip of the iceberg with this stuff! Oh, and I can also predict, based on all this 'people getting away with being mouthy' shit, that al
Queda will be checking out soon, especially if the long-suffering Afghan people ever grow a pair.

(3) Jobs still AWOL - so many people hurting, needing a good job. Here again, people r e m e m b e r. Sure, Obama could have done
more, maybe should have done a LOT more to fix this problem. BUT, he was obstructed every inch of the way - and people KNOW
this. They remember who caused it, and they know who worked like demon dogs to keep the economy and jobs off the rails and
an unfixable problem. Besides, their candidate is a KNOWN vulture capitalist who made millions by shipping American jobs overseas
and closing businesses here at home (I still have a hard time believing the Republicans could ever have been stupid enough to
nominate this POS) - he is the living EMBODIMENT of "the wrong direction," the "free-wheeling banksters who destroyed our
country." Yep, that's their candidate. Can it be any more obvious what these people truly VALUE? Hint: it ain't the people.

(4) The self-described 'religious' people - well, the ones who holler the loudest anyway - are Republicans. Now, religious peoples are
USUALLY the backbone of the country, the most populous, i.e., the center. Of course, they're also the most easily led, the most
easily brainwashed....eh, I digress. USUALLY, what they say is....how it IS, by GOD!!! But, here again, the Republicans, ably
aided by FOX and a whole bunch of Bible-thumping sociopaths beating the drum for JAYSUS have turned even this demographic
on its collective ear. Even this bunch are able to see through the rhetoric to the rot at its core. Even THEY can see that this
man is simply not a good person, that what he's done has been horrible, and even THEY can see that refusing to even hint at his
plans as Prez is not a good sign for the future. Now, granted, this is not universal - as there are a whole LOT of hardcore
god-zombies who refuse to use their brains for anything not stamped by their church.

(5) Bigotry is still very much alive and well!!!!! WOW, is it ever!!!!! Our visitor is probably standing slack-jawed in dumbfounded awe
at this level of stupidity still strutting the streets of America - land of the free and the brave!!! By that measure alone, most
electioneers would call this, just as some did in 2008, a 'gimme election.' Hard to fight bigotry. It crosses party lines at will. And it
operates in most people in the deepest darkest recesses of their hearts - only to see the light of day in the enclosed, slightly
claustrophobic confines of the voting booth. But, with a closer look, you can see it - finally. You can find an even BIGGER number
of people who are able to evaluate a candidate by his words, his actions, his abilities, etc - with nary a hint of a nod to skin color.

Now, put all those together and you can see WHY so many Republicans saw this as a "gimme election." Maybe that is why they were content to nominate someone as ridiculous as the perpetual candidate Mitt Romney. Why they were so able and willing to 'overlook' his obvious catastrophic failures as a candidate, as a governor, as a citizen, and as a man. The ONLY arena this man has succeeded in was 'business.' IF you can consider outrageous profiteering off the backs and livelihoods of tens of thousands of defenseless men and women a 'business.' Obviously, they can.

48 years.
48 years since the 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed.
48 years since the Dixiecrats left the Democratic Party & ironically flooded into the Republican Party (you know the party which once freed the slaves).
48 years since they have wrecked all of the progress made by FDR's New Deal legacy.

And all simply based on the infantile idea of "I don't like those N***ers!!"

All the bad policies we have had to deal with come down to that very base reason.
Those racists became useful idiots for the greedy rich who didn't want to contribute their fair share.
Those racists are the reason why the 99% isn't as united as it should be.
The reason why the poor/middle classes aren't as united as they should be.

Bigotry, warmongering, & greed.
The 3 obstacles preventing a better America.
The 3 pillars the Republican Party stands on.

IMPLODE you sorry MF!!!
IMPLODE!!!
END the Republican Party!!!

The Dixiecrats will see the sheer number of white good old boys reduced and minoritiies are increasing and there will not be anyway to beat them in a straight up election. Some of the hard nosed people have joined thr GOP, it is not th same party of Reagan, it is radical TP and anti abortion and KKK, and no one is in control. Hate talkers who do not tell the truth riles up their listeners so they react yo garbage and then throw out garbage.
