and so many places where the united nation and our country could help for sake of 'doing the right thing'...
but unfortunately the choices of one former administration and its lust for mineral rights has apparently forever tied our hands and made every cause unjust.. no matter how many people die unjustly.

and I too am absolutely guilty of the same line of thought that you are criticizing.

For what it's worth, I joined the Army when I was 17 in 1997 with the intention of making the world a better place. I saw what we were doing in the Balkans at that time a prime example of what our military would in fact be used for in the future. I truly believed that we as a country had learned our lessons from our previous conflicts. Instead I found myself in Iraq as an Infantryman in 2004 fighting a war that had nothing to do with making the world a better place.

I watched all but the last 2 minutes of the documentary. I spent much of it in enraged that I am powerless to do anything about the conflict over there and that my military service was squandered in Iraq.

There are good applications of force out there. However all too often we seem to find ourselves in the wrong sorts of fights.
