I wish my next door neighbor were still alive. I'm sure he'd have a lot of words for this fraud and a lot of the sentences would contain the word "pendejo."

(15,380 posts)Sarah Palin was chosen to be McCain's running mate - at least partly if not mostly - because they thought that Hillary supporters, upset over Obama winning the 2008 democratic primary, would flock to them just because she has ovaries. They wouldn't even care if her policies and beliefs didn't match theirs... They've all got the same kind of sex organs as she does!
The GOP, every now and then, at one level of government or the other, runs a guy from a non-white ethnic group and can't understand it why voters belonging to that same ethnic group don't turn out and vote for their guy.
What they're ultimately saying is, "Oh, those silly women/Blacks/Hispanics/etc. They're not the kind of voters who vote based on the issues. All they care about is seeing one of their own in office!" And they keep believing this no matter how many times they're proven wrong.
This guy either thinks that Hispanics (and democrats) are stupid enough to believe one of several things (which cumulatively he hopes will get him elected)
1. He's the real Cesar Chavez. This one is the least likely in all cases, but he probably counts it as a minor possibility
2. He's related to Cesar Chavez.
3. That he is so Hispanic, just dripping Hispanicness, that his parents (Senor y Senora Chavez) named him Cesar in honor of the real CC.
4. That enough Hispanics (and democrats in general) are lazy and are not going to go, "Huh, that's weird... Dude is named Cesar Chavez. Let's take a minute or two to do some research on him," which of course they are, or they will just flat out hear about the "pendejo" from their relatives and friends in normal conversation.
None of those scenarios are likely in my opinion. I hope he gets curb-stomped at the polls.
