...show me one "news" outlet that doesn't have one, especially after the Fairness Doctrine was eliminated.
MSNBC is only as "liberal" as Comcast allows them to be - which, I'm sorry to say, isn't very. (If they were, you would see more lefty-fringy voices on that network, like Noam Chomsky or the late Mike Ruppert. You only get those pundits that are, for the most part, "corporate approved."
To use the author of the linked story's logic, MSNBC can show it's "independence" by running stories critical of or exposing Comcast and it's donations to various candidates, or it's inordinate influence over the FCC, or more critical of the current administration.
Or Fox - we know what their agenda is. I'm waiting for them to break a story critical of News Corp., 21st Century Fox, or Rupert Murdoch. I suspect I'll be waiting for a good long time.
Or CNN - which has become increasingly pro-corporate as the years have passed - any negativity about Time Warner on that network lately?
Or Al Jazeera - will you see anything on their network critical of their ownership?
Or ABC, CBS, NBC, or the other BS networks.
I bring my salt shaker with me whenever I "consume" media of any type, whether it be RT, MSNBC, or anybody else. But the amount of salt I take is at least as much for American outlets as it is for RT or Al Jazeera.
