The Medical Marijuana Amendment in the House

It's strange to post something from a conservative... but, a California conservative may be more liberal than some Democrats in some House districts...

The Hinchey-Rohrabacher medical marijuana amendment (House Amendment 272) was offered by Congressmen Maurice Hinchey and Dana Rohrabacher to amend the Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations Bill, H.R. 3093, on July 25, 2007 in the U.S. Congress. The amendment was defeated by a vote of 262-165. Eventually, the Amendment was passed by the US House on May 29, 2014.

Who the bleep do these representatives (and those who came before them) think they are to ignore the will of the American people for nearly 20 years?

The opposing arguments, ultimately, are stupid because the plant, for whatever purpose, should be legal for adults to grow, use, purchase, or sell. It can be recommended as an herbal supplement. Research can go forward.

It's time to END MARIJUANA PROHIBITION NOW.

The Paper industry, William Randolph Hurst Is the Most responsible I think. He owned Vast tracts of Pulp wood. He was using all he could for his newspaper but saw a market and was all for using any means. He coined the name Marijuana to take advantage of anti Spanish, anti Mexican sentiment. So That was his angle.
The Liquor Industry: That's Obvious Less Smoke able Intoxicants the better for them.

The Cotton Industry: In the south Cotton was still king. and a material that was as rough as sandpaper was no competition. In Steps A young man named Levi Strauss. Now this very industrious Guy invents a process that turns Hemp into a soft comfortable Material that still wears like Iron. That's why Cowboys loved them so much. The worked for next to nothing and these Levi's took a licking and stayed looking good. Levi Strauss Claimed if you continue this process you can get a Fabric that feels and wears like the finest silk. a 30 years old man can Purchase a shirt like this at a reasonable price and wear it once a week for the next 30 years and leave it to his son who can do the same thing. What would happen to Cotton?
I call these 3 the unholy Trinity. Combine them with the police, who reap huge profits from drug bust. Hemp use being the easiest to snag. and this problem will never go away. they will fight over this like Abortion.
