Like the situation or not, which I surely don't, Wes Clark and President Obama are far from crackpot. I do wish that Wes were PART of this administration.

He would make an outstanding Secretary of State, IMO.

I've been waiting for somesuch position for him for a LONG time, and don't know that I can rely on any Dem to do it. Hillary SHOULD, of course.

I'm not sure what he means by using the military to achieve a diplomatic solution, though. He obviously wasn't specific except for mentioning Special Forces. I am sure the president is weighing many options and some military involvement might be among them. Clark did seem very concerned about the effect on oil.

What a clusterf*ck those arrogant neo-cons have created.

And the impending doom that was to befall on another helpless minority group in Iraq. I wonder who was the crackpot now for calling Gen.Wes Clark's recommendation and the man as "crackpot" to begin with? I bet no retraction or consideration of that nonsensical attack won't be forthcoming.

will all be different. Or not. I think it's more likely Clark is thinking about another presidential run or baring that, more paid appearances on as a pundit. I don't think he has any particular insights into what is going on in Iraq.

is not, I'm certain, thinking about another presidential run, we had to drag him in to the last one, and without this newest stuff, has many appearances. He does not need the aggravation or money political notoriety provides, but does want to inform the public.

and it sounds like Wes' thoughtful, thorough and broad analysis, which Nicole Sandler appeared unable to understand, or to take the time to understand. He does NOT support waging war and bombing 'them' into oblivion, CLEARLY NOT what Wes wants to do.

Thanks for posting,.
