Pentagon Pain: F-35 stealth fighter jet 'one of worst planes we've ever designed'

RT • Published on Jun 21, 2014

The world's most expensive weapon, the 400 billion dollar F-35 - an aircraft whose price-tag just went even higher thanks to additional funding. Plagued by delays, massive cost over-runs and bloating bureaucracy the jet's left even its top backers somewhat underwhelmed. And to cover the price, the plane's now being touted to foreign buyers, as RT's Marina Portnaya explains.

to see this plane fly, go see it. It was the most impressive show of maneuverability of an aircraft I've ever seen. But, fighter jets need to be able to do other things too

Lockheed-Martin, et. al. should just drive some U-Haul trucks up to the Pentagon Pay Master's Office and load pallets of our tax money onto them and send them right over to their banks for deposit. It's simpler and more honest.

- Like in Iraq.

...the disguise they used the last time was damn good. Who would have believed they'd let this clown oversee $12 billion? {His helmet is a size or so too big!}

12. The F-35 is not maneuverable

It is too heavy, and getting heavier, and the wings are too small.

With the cockpit blind spot at six o'clock, it's a widow maker for pilots.

Taxpayer Dollars.

I think this F-35 was one that even some in our Military thought was a Boondoggle..but those Congress Critters who would benefit manage to RAM it Through?

If DRONES are the lastest THING that is Sucessful....then why do we need the F-35? And supposedly ROBOTS will be doing all our "on the ground fighting" so why do we even need soldiers or Fighter Jets? Unless we put robot in Fighter Jet for Massive Aerial Bombing......of WHO?

Local businesses that supply defense contractors benefit, so they pressure Congresscritters to keep the supply-lines flowing.

local industry/improvements for the common people's lifestyle.

When we gave our Manufacturing Base to China and Poppy Bush closed down the military bases...the local economies were devastated and looking for new enterprises that could be enticed with cheap non-union/Govt. secured wage's labor. Now we have Boeing leaving Union Jobs in the Northwestern USA to go to improvished outbacks like South Carolina where they can work the workers to death without any protections. And with the textile/furniture manufacturing business (leaving the Southeast US) and moving to China and the military bases closing and lack of any other income made them like a third world country--Ripe for Pillage!

The Business Sites say USA is bringing industry back home to America. Yeah....we know what that is...."We Work Cheaper than Vietnamese and Cambodians" and if you wait long enough we will work for less than that.

Sorry for my cynical rant......a bit disjointed..
