The propaganda is just better on that one.

McCaine, International Republican Institute, Nuland (Project for a New American Century).

Press TV: US neocons ‘accelerated’ crisis in Ukraine: Brian Becker (ANSWER Coallation)

http://www.presstv.com/detail/2014/04/29/360625/us-neocons-accelerated-ukraine-crisis/

The neoconservatives in the Obama administration “artificially accelerated the crisis” in Ukraine by supporting an illegal coup d'état that neo-Nazis and xenophobic elements carried out, a peace activist in Washington says.

“I believe the US government accelerated and artificially created this crisis,” said Brian Becker, the national coordinator for the ANSWER Coalition, a US-based protest umbrella group consisting of many antiwar and civil rights organizations.

“The US government having created a sort of chaotic situation has to blame someone, so they’re blaming the Putin government, they’re pointing the finger at the government in Moscow,” Becker told Press TV in a phone interview on Tuesday.

Becker made the comments as tensions between the US and Russia are growing over the deepening crisis in Ukraine.

assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State and wife of Robert Kagan, co-founder of the think-tank "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC), had no influence whatever in the Obama admin. Nothing to do with events in Ukraine.

This guy aimed it all at "Putin" and those who disagreed - were "Putinistas".

This person was and is all over DU, pushing extreme right-wing propaganda of the very worst (see above example) kind. If someone calls this person out, they get alerted on, but there's no way to alert on such extreme right-wing shit as they spew because, well, it's just lies, lies and more right-wing fascist lies.

Of course, Obama had no choice but to nominate someone referred by McCain. It wasn't as though electing Obama indicated that most Americans were rejecting McCain's way of thinking.

From her wiki:

Victoria Nuland graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1979 and has a B.A. from Brown University. Nuland speaks Russian, French, and a little Chinese.[citation needed] Nuland has two children. Nuland’s husband is historian Robert Kagan, Council on Foreign Relations member, and co-founder of the think-tank "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC).
Career

During the Bill Clinton administration, Nuland was chief of staff to Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott before moving on to serve as deputy director for former Soviet Union affairs.

She served as the principal deputy foreign policy adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney and then as U.S. ambassador to NATO.

Nuland became special envoy for Conventional Armed Forces in Europe and then became State Department spokesperson in summer 2011.[3]

She was nominated to serve as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs in May 2013 and sworn in to fill that role in September 2013.[4] During her confirmation hearings, she faced "sharp questions" about a memo she had sent outlining the talking points that would be used by the Obama administration in the days shortly after the 2012 Benghazi attack.[5]

Those unfamiliar with Choate may be interested to know that Pres. Kennedy is also an alum (which gives you an idea of whose kids get to go to Choate).

I'm a bit slow catching up with this thread.

But what, WHAT is this fucking abomination!
I'm 4.5 minutes in, and,
and I'm thinking what can USian "Democrats" be thinking????????
This is the US SoS, following HRC (the anointed one).

Watching the USA is like watching some zombie apocalypse movie.

eta: I endured another 5 minutes. So don't say that I don't pay my dues.
I get to the point 9:00 or so in, which recapitulates the fawning "respect" Mr. Kerry drowns Victoria Nuland in, and where he concludes:
"Victoria has served her country her entire adult life, and as the most prominent member of the unique, some might even say improbable member of the Dick Cheney Hillary Clinton alumni association (laughter)... she has earned the trust and confidence of Democrats and Republicans alike, without party affiliation."

This is, without doubt, the most obscene political porn as I've ever witnessed.

One of the reasons that I never believed Hillary when she said she had voted for the Iraq War only because she had not read the National Intelligence Estimate before she voted.

He was given a 22 year sentence for embezzlement in Jordan.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/apr/14/iraq.davidleigh

It wasn't small time either, $200 million. There's a good chance many nations would not accept him as a leader.

Bush tried to put Chalabi in power after Saddam was overthrown, but Iraqis and the CIA both blocked it.

It is almost literally harder to imagine a worse choice.
