The recent news about "locked in" sea level rise from Antarctica makes it all the more important to understand Greenland's melt, and perhaps slow it down.
Understanding the main type of loss from Greenland, surface melting, is the mission of the Dark Snow Project, now setting up camp on the ice.
I will be joining the team in August.
