The Young Turks * Published on Jun 23, 2014
"Hillary Clinton today portrays her stance on Iraq as being the same as President Obama's. But when she was Secretary of State, she pushed hard for keeping troops in Iraqdespite the fact that the White House was looking to bring all the troops home.
"Hillary Clinton was a lion for keeping troops there," James Jeffrey, who was the U.S. ambassador to Iraq in 2011, told The Daily Beast in an interview. "She was a strong advocate for keeping troops there past 2011," when American forces eventually withdrew.
At a CNN Town Hall on Tuesday, Clinton unveiled what is now her official accounting of what happened in 2011, when the Obama administration was negotiating to keep troops in Iraq with the government of Nouri al-Maliki. "* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola break it down.

(429 posts)I had already decided not to vote for Hilary no matter what. This is a perfect example of why I won't vote for her. We desperately need a strong progressive president to get that progressive agenda actualized and fight back and beat down any and all right wing/tea bagger that gets in the way.

(27,137 posts)...although I don't believe the current system as configured, can deliver that progressive.
- But I have no problem with being proven wrong in this belief, it's just that I've been terribly right, so far.....

(8,445 posts)if she was in a close race for president AND I was in a swing state. And I would vote against her in a primary in any case.

(1,370 posts)Hillary seems to be the approved Dem party candidate for president. She's actually running even though she hasn't stated so in public. We'll all feel so comfortable with her come election time, with her regular TV appearances and now that we know her favorite book is the Bible...
The political process in this country reminds me of an 80s sitcom, pretty sad..

(1,370 posts)I'm kinda liking Mitt as Ward and Hillary as June.. Episode 1: Wally's comes out of the closet and tells the family he's in love with Eddie and they want to get married. After a lot of soul searching Hillary gives her blessing but Mitt is opposed.
