Throwback Thursday: Two of Michelle Bachmann's Greatest Hits. The Hoot-Smalley Act, and

Jimmy Carter's NWO Swine Flu.

Twice in the same day!

Keith Olbermann actually went easy on her by only pointing out TWO of her historical derps. Not only did she claim that FDR passed the 'Hoot-Smalley Tariff Act' which 'caused' the Great Depression; when in fact it was actually the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, written by two Republican Senators in 1930 (three years before FDR was President), and was REPEALED by FDR; but she then went on to claim that FDR should have followed the 'non-interventionist model' of 'President Calvin Coolidge' when he was dealing with the 'recession of 1921.' Never mind the fact that there was no recession in 1921, just a glitch in commodity prices, or the fact that Coolidge wasn't even President until 1923; or the fact that Hoover was probably the most non-interventionist President in history when it came to economic policy, and the Great Depression happened under HIS Administration, and only continued to deepen for three agonizing years while he did nothing.

So I know the oppression you speak of.

The RWNJ were ready to line people up in front of the firing squad for anything opposing W. Rabid nut jobs who are only more unhinged today. I don't understand who keeps giving them money so they can carry on. It makes no sense.

And the dismantling of the progressive taxation system insures that people with way way way more money than brains can purchase a medieval feudal society where the inferior bottom 99% slave their lives away to serve the innately superior Oligarchs.

I'm being facetious, but I do have a fundamental question;

For all the Wall Street Captains of Industry and too big to fail bankers, just where the hell do they get all the money to shower themselves with self imposed multi-million dollar bonuses?

My dad and grandmother were Republicans. They were proud to be of the party of Lincoln, as well they should. The only honorable Republican I know of these days is Col. Lawrence Wilkerson. The world would be a much better place if more elected Republicans were cut from Wilkerson's cloth!
