Diversity of Guests unlike what passes for "discussion" on Cable TV...or Network...Peter Lavelle does great job of mixing up his guests so you don't here "Dick Cheney, John McCain and Defense Contractors...a RW Congresscritter or some mouthpiece reporters "investigative report from the RW."

Fascinating program. Thanks for posting. The Libertarian drove me a little nuts (every frickin' thing isn't a product, fella), but it was stimulating to have a range of opinions and some genuine disagreements. I'm inclined to agree with the guy in London about how the role of social media has been overblown and how even though we have expanded outlets, much of what is posted in blogs and message boards are reactions to the corporate media's storyline. In other words, there's pushback, but the corporate media still frames the argument. Much of social media is simply an echo chamber.

I realize this was an international discussion but it was a pity that someone didn't point out that journalism is the only profession explicitly protected by the U.S. Constitution. In other words, news is not supposed to be just another commodity. Our democracy depends on it.
