Related: About this forumBob Baker Dies – A Huge Loss
For anyone who ever experienced the Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Los Angeles, you'll know the enormity of the loss to this rich and dynamic art form. A video with the history is below. His magical little theater opened on the day after Thanksgiving in the 1960's. Bob passed away at 90 the day after Thanksgiving. With over 50 wonderful seasons!!
Couple of more videos with a great little history on the theater, on Bob and his legacy...
LA Times article
___________
Visit the theater if you visit the Los Angeles area -- it's definitely worth it -- use your GPS as it is tucked away in the heart of Los Angeles. They are planning on continuing the theater and performances as noted in the LA Times article.
