(24,411 posts)Are you kidding me?
She barely said a word about the TPP, but at the eleventh hour--she says she "doesn't support it" while doing jack shit to fight against it.
She never fought against it or said anything meaningful to turn the tide against it.
Now, when the fight is over, she steps up with her big, brave words--that mean NOTHING.
Woweee! Another insulting display lobbed at the American people from fake, vacuous, corporatist Hillary.

(66 posts)Hillary is more left on gun issues then Sanders....but wait Sanders will flip

(2,212 posts)Clinton, on the other hand, does have a history of voicing support for liberal causes while looking for votes, then taking a corporatist lean to the right once in office.

She said absolutely nothing that means a thing.
No swing there as in
"It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing."
No certainty, no detailed explanation.
And delivered in a very cautious, defensive, deliberately evasive way.
Lots of room for her to change her mind.
This is as much an invitation for more donations from the big corporations as it is a definitive statement about Hillary's views on the TPP.
I do not trust Hillary when it comes to trade or the TPP.
So many issues on which I cannot trust Hillary.
Social Security being at the top of the list.
Free college tuition at state schools also right up there at the top. She wants to means-test it, and kids and families don't need that bureaucracy and all the questions about the family's financial affairs.
