The trouble is, I don't think it's only Republicans who are "mishearing" him.

If it was not him, it was a pretty good imitation.

I also doubt very much that Sanders would use the term "f*ggy" (and no, that's not the weather in London town) no matter how ripe the comedy. He may be "natural" and "authentic" but I doubt he'd antagonize a voting bloc with that kind of language.

natural pitch than the Senator.

I think that piece took a fair amount of work to put together, and if I had to place a bet, I'd bet it wasn't his voice. I don't think Sanders walked into the studio and had time to lay down those tracks--it may not seem like anything but it might take a little time. Half hour if no issues, an hour if there are glitches.

He got in, did his interview, and got the hell out--because he probably had somewhere else to be.

That's just my guess. I have no special knowledge, and I could well be wrong.

put together. Well written. And timely because the US has multiple realities at this juncture and people only hear what reinforces their previous beliefs. I mean the way both Sanders and Hillary supporters watched the exact same debate and truly believe their candidate cleary won shows us how different mind sets, perceptions and values are. And that is only within the democratic party. The skit perfectly illustrated the point.

We nitpick around the edges in the interest of team spirit, but I know that most of the HRC crew would vote for Sanders if he got the nomination--for our team, he's simply the second choice, not the enemy.

I don't always get that vibe from everyone on the other team, though--and sometimes I wonder if there's some infiltration and influencing happening to try to stir up animosities that just don't need to be flogged or fostered...?

Anyway, the skit was hilarious. I am a sucker for stuff like that; I also like the Bad Lip Reading nonsense--haven't seen a Dem debate one yet, but I'm sure it will be along soon! That GOP one where they had everyone sing nonsense lines was a total scream.

sure there are gop trolls on the Bernie side trying to keep real Bernie voters from voting for Hillary or volunteering for her in the general if it comes to that. I've done two ops where I asked people to pledge to vote for the Democratic nominee and that angers not a few Bernie supporters. Pretty upsetting to those of us who know the real Danger to be a lackluster Democratic turnout on election day more than anything.
