TYT: Republicans Prefer Embarassing Benghazi Hearings Not Televised Anymore

After the marathon Benghazi hearings, most of the press agreed that Hillary Clinton won the day and Republicans had egg on their faces. Trey Gowdy recently explained to Chuck Todd that the GOP would prefer their national embarassments to be less public going forward. Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down. "Trey Gowdy wants us to believe that there was anything new to be learned from the 11 hour witch hunt they conducted the day before this interview.

I'm not sure how you square Gowdy's assertion that the questions they peppered Clinton with were "new" but her answers were "old," but that didn't seem to matter much to Faux "news" host Greta Van Susteren, who was more than happy to give Gowdy some "fair and balanced" time to lie about what happened at the hearing and the line of questioning the former Secretary of State was subjected to from Gowdy and his fellow Republicans on the Benghazi committee.

As Media Matters noted, the majority of the questions asked during the hearing were either previously debunked myths, or questions Hillary Clinton had already answered during her previous appearance before Congress.”*

Only that way does he get to selectively leak parts of transcripts, and selected bits of evidence in order to craft a narrative.

That one's a no-brainer.

At this point, however, I'm more curious about what they're going to write in their fake recommendations.

We the Select Committee recommend that, in future, our Embassies will be better protected by...
1. Making sure that the Secretary of State is required to read EVERY email they're CC'd on.
2. Making sure that the Secretary of State is responsible for the security arrangements at all U.S. compounds.
3. Forbidding the Secretary of State from deliberately letting her/his ambassadors be killed by muslim extremists.
4. Forbidding the Secretary of State from employing members of the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD as her/his personal assistant, especially if said personal assistant is married to a pervert who emails pictures of his penis to random women.
5. Forbidding the Secretary of State from being married to anybody who has a "Foundation," and thus perverting U.S. foreign policy to further her/his own financial interests.
6. Forbidding the Secretary of State from exchanging gossip with anybody named "Blumenthal" when she/he should be arranging the security of our embassies.
7. Forbidding the Secretary of State from going home for the night at any time, and in particular when there has been an attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound...
