(24,685 posts)the republican jerk called dtumpF is under investigation for his Trump University scam game---------------did you forget that little bit of information, he is under investigation in the State of New York------------for fraud.
There has been no charges filed against Clinton, so to blatantly make remarks that she has been is outrageous, and you are a lawyer by training----------------smears don't work, facts do

(7,875 posts)for making Megyn Kelly the least objectionable person on the screen. Didn't think that was possible for a Democrat.
Old Crow
(2,212 posts)... in allowing Megyn Kelly to deflect and steer the conversation into another direction. When Kelly responded by saying, "You know what the Republicans would say to that? They'd say no one on their side is facing an indictment." It then became a tangled back and forth about whether the indictment statement was accurate, yadda yadda yadda, all framed around the issue Kelly introduced.
What DWS ought to have done was to contain that charge and keep the focus on vulgarity. Something like: "Megyn, you're changing the subject. Yes, an investigation is underway and I'll be happy to talk about that in a minute. But what we're talking about now is VULGARITY, and there can be no doubt that what we're seeing on the Republican side is political debate being taken into the gutter."
Of course, it's a heck of a lot easier to come up with the words as an armchair quarterback after the fact. But then again, DWS is paid the big bucks to not get tripped up by this stuff.

Old Crow
(2,212 posts)And it was a real lost opportunity because when DWS made the remark about Trump talking about his manhood, it packed a punch. You could see both Fox News anchors--particularly Bret Baier--blanch momentarily. Baier had an "OMG, what do I say to that?" look on his face. Kelly then quickly recovered with a deft change of subject via the indictment remark and DWS lost control.
